Biography :

Panteleimon Giannakopoulos was born in 1965 in Greece. He obtained his MD degree in the University of Athens in 1989 before completing a full training on psychiatry and psychotherapy in London (Maudsley Hospital and Geneva) as well as postdoc training in Paris (La Pitié-Sâlpetrière Hospital, Federation of Neurology). In 1998, aged 33 years, he has been appointed as associate professor and medical head of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry of the University Hospitals of Geneva. Later on (2004) he obtained the position of full tenured professor of Psychiatry in the University of Geneva. From 2003 to 2011, he also assumed a parallel position of full professor of Old Age Psychiatry in the University of Lausanne in order to promote the academic careers of junior staff locally. He has been Chairman of the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatry in Geneva for ten years (2005-2015) and vice dean of the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Geneva in charge of postgraduate and continuous education (2003-2011). From December 1st 2015, he is the medical head of the forensic psychiatry development in Geneva country. Specialist of Alzheimer disease research, he published more than 240 peer-reviewed articles in the field of neurobiology of aging with particular focus on predictive biomarkers of cognitive decline.

Biography :

Harish C. Pant received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Agra University, Agra, India. His postdoctoral studies were conducted on the mechanisms of electron and ion transport in model membrane systems at the Department of Biophysics at Michigan State University. He joined the Laboratory of Neurobiology in the NIMH as a senior staff fellow in 1974 with Ichiji Tasaki where he studied the function of the axonal cytoskeleton in the squid giant axon. In 1979 he moved to the NIAAA extending his studies on the neuronal cytoskeleton and the effects of alcohol on its regulation. He moved to the NINDS, Laboratory of Neurochemistry in 1987 where he is presently chief of the section on Cytoskeleton Regulation. His laboratory is studying the mechanisms of topographic regulation of neuronal cytoskeleton proteins by post-translational modification, including the role of kinase cascades in normal brain and during neurodegeneration.

Biography :

Prof. Harry Steinbusch is appointed as Professor in Cellular Neuroscience, past-director of the School for Mental Health and Neuroscience, Founding Director of the European Graduate School for Neuroscience at Maastricht University and President-Elect of the Neurotoxicity Society. Recently he is appointed as Fellow of the Indian Society for Neurosciences, as Adjunctive Professor at Ajou University in Korea, Honorary Professor at Colombo University, Sri Lanka. He is the founding editor of the Journal of Chemical Neuroanatomy. His research is focussed on neurodevelopmental influences towards depression and neurodegenerative diseases studied in animal models. This implies combining a broad range of techniques, i.e. molecular neurobiology, quantitative neuromorphology, animal behavior and epigenetics. He has thus far guided 105 Ph.D. students. He has been involved as the director of the travel IBRO program. He was twice coordinator of a Marie Curie Early Stage Training site. His current Hirsch factor is 83; publications: 475; citations without self-citations: 29,613

Prof. Dr. Shahid Hussain Sheikh, M.D., Ph.D. Neurology. He served in various medical research positions at the Univ. of WA Med. Cntr. from 1982 to 1992. Asso. Prof. of clinical Physiology at the American College of Prof. Edu. and Med. Cntr, as a Research Scientist/ faculty in the clinical Research. Since 2004, pioneered unveiling the secrets of Nucleopathy, instigated by the Neuro-invasive viral genomic proliferation of the functional Neurons by furthering the AFM based nano biological research of Dr. Edward Wagoner group at UCI. The "Sheikh's Syndrome" defined in 2006 having established the pathophysiology of many diseases emerging from the nuclei of the infected neurons, have substantiated the term Nucleopathy. Prof Sheikh has successfully found the viral link and cured the IBS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hypertension, and 48 other diseases. Biography :

Sevinj Hamidova is currently working as a managing director of Medical Tourism in Azerbaijan. She graduated with MD from Azerbaijan Medical University in 2009. She then completed Internship in City Clinical Hospital in Baku and has now worked for over 6 years as a Neurologist at several hospital settings. During this period, she has participated in many conferences and has taken several continuing education neurology courses in Turkey, Germany, Spain and Denmark. She is well skilled and has managed headache, stroke, epilepsy/EEG and prolotherapy protocols. She organized and now directs a small Headache Center in Baku. At present, she is tasked to organize a Stroke Center–a first in Azerbaijan, and has been offered a new job in one of the big private clinics in Baku as a Director of Stroke and Headache Center.

Professor Joanna B Strosznajder obtained MD and specialization in neurology in the Medical University of Warsaw; Ph.D. in biochemistry in Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS). After Ph.D. she spends 2 years as Alexander von Humboldt fellow in Department of Biochemistry University of Cologne. She is internationally recognized neuroscientist in the field of brain lipids, oxidative stress and signaling pathways in relation to cancer, brain ischemia, aging, and neurodegeneration. She was the head of Dept. of Cellular Signalling and the President of Scientific Council in Medical Research Centre PAS. She training the large number of students, graduates. She organized many meetings and published close 200 articles. She was awarded many times.

Cancellation Policy


If Allied Academies cancels this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.




If Allied Academies postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.


Transfer of registration


All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to Details must be included the full name of replacement person, their title,contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.


Registration can be transferred from one conference to another conference of Allied Academies if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.


However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of respective conference.


The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.


Visa Information


Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.


Allied Academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.


Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied Academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.


Refund Policy:


If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:


Keeping in viewof advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and otheroverheads, we had to keep Refund Policy as following slabs-


Before 60 daysof the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $100 service Fee

Within 60-30days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund

Within 30 daysof Conference: Not eligible for Refund

E-PosterPayments will not be refunded.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:


Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied Academies will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
